Sigma Orionis (www.sigma-orionis.com), founded in 1984 and established in the Sophia Antipolis science park in France (close to Nice international airport), specializes in services supporting collaborative research and global innovation in ICT (information and communications technology). The company is mainly involved in international projects, providing institutions, companies, research laboratories, and universities active in the ICT domain worldwide with services such as technology and market research reports, the organization of business and cooperation events, marketing and dissemination activities, and the secretariat of associations, alliances, and working groups. The company benefits from a 15-year experience of participation in EU-funded projects, and has been or still is a coordinator or partner of over 20 projects (IPs, STREPs, NoEs, CSAs) launched in the ICT theme of the European 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7). Sigma Orionis is also an active member of leading European Technology Platforms in the ICT area (ISI, NEM, NESSI, and Net!Works) and of the Future Internet Assembly (FIA).
