pro-iBiosphere meeting 4, Berlin - 9 Oct Workshop #3 User Engagement and Benefits (RBGK M6.2.2)

The workshop will explore the current benefits to the users and to the providers of information and services and the projected benefits arising from implementation of pro i-Biosphere

The workshop will address 3 specific questions:

1) Who benefits?
2) What are the benefits?
3) How can these benefits be quantified?

The outputs of the workshop will contribute to
D6.2.1) A report on benefits to users/clients by modelling the uptake of information, including maps of users and information use, requirements, information flow, costs to manage and benefits to the user communities. [month 15] and
D6.2.2) A parallel report on benefits to the supplier communities. [month 18].

The total number of workshop participants will be restricted to 30 (drawn from c.15 users and c. 15 providers).

14:30 – 15:00 What benefits will the users of these new services derive from each new service?
15:00 – 15:30 How might we measure these benefits?
15:30 – 16:00 What is anticipated scale of benefits?

16:00 – 16:30 Tea/coffee
16:30 – 17:00 What are the most important benefits?

17:00 – 18:00 Plenary presentations and open discussion

18:00 – 18:30 Conclusions and next steps
